Large decorative tassels are usually made by covering a wooden mold with cord or thread. Campbell-Harding adds beads in a variety of beading patterns to her tassels, creating delightful lacy baubles that can be used to embellish curtains, lampshades, or clothing. Pierce specializes in beaded bands, many inspired by Native American designs, made on a traditional beading loom and used as neckpieces. His book concentrates on looming techniques and includes photographs of his own works and those of others. Both books are good additions to general crafts collections.
